Do you remember the days when we used to go down to our local film development store to get our photos developed and printed out? Maybe you used to send off mail order to get your photos printed. Nonetheless, what we had was a pack containing our photos. This was fine and we would look at photos and then place them away in a drawer or cupboard.
But after a while of doing this, we end up with packets and packets of photos – all taking up room – and never looked at as it was so time consuming to go through all the packets to find the photo you wanted. So, what is the modern day answer to manage and organize your photos? A digital photo frame of course.

The memory card now replaces the packets of photos you once had. Except a memory card can hold hundreds or even thousands of photos. The memory card is simply slotted into the picture frame and the photos are ready to be viewed immediately.
Some photo frames such as the Opteka 15 have a massive 15 inch LCD screen with a very high 1024 x 768 resolution. It has an enormous 1GB of internal memory so hundreds or maybe thousands of pictures could be stored of it, depending on the original size of your pictures. This is a more high-end picture frame but more affordable frames are available and the choice is huge.
As you can now appreciate, the digital photo frame has now virtually replaced the ancient developing and printing of the past giving us far more flexibility and negating the need to spend money time after time getting our photos processed.
The digital picture frame is so amazingly simple to operate and provides us with crisp clear images. They are extremely portable too so you can take them around to your friends and neighbors houses to show off your pictures. They make fantastic Christmas and birthday presents too!
Of course, being in the digital age we can print our photos at home with our inkjet printers. But this can get very expensive with the price of ink and paper. When we go on vacation we often take hundreds of photos so it’s hard to know which ones to print out.
