As long as it is a light rain, you should be ok. While camera casings are not watertight, they will resist quite a bit of water. Just try to keep the areas around buttons and the screen relatively dry, as those are the simplest ways for water to leak inside the camera. If you do get a lot of water in it, or leave it in the rain for a while, take the batteries and memory card out ASAP and let it dry inside for a day. This will avoid any issues, since its not the water itsself that kills electronics, but it can cause a small circuit if you turn it on once there is water inside of it.
