Hp dv6700 fan doesn’t work and computer just shuts off with no warranty. How do i replace or fix?

I have a hp dv6700 laptop and i noticed the fan stopped working with no thought why!? What can i do to get it starting again before i try replacing it because my laptop overheats and randomly shuts off which get quite annoying.
